Job description

Mig Welder Pay Rate and Hours:
  • Pay: $20.00/hr.-$22.00/hr. depending on experience
  • Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
Mig Welder Job Description:
  • You will be performing welding work on commercial trucks, which includes welding while positioned on top of the trucks as well as underneath them. Duties involve completing all required welds safely and accurately in elevated and confined positions, ensuring structural integrity and meeting project specifications.
Mig Welder Skills:
  • Cut, form, and weld steel and aluminum parts into truck body structures according to build sheets, blueprints, and engineering specifications
  • Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal components in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) using appropriate shielding gas mixtures
  • Clean and prepare metal surfaces, mark and align parts using calipers, rulers, and other measuring tools
  • Need to be able to set up machine and pass an uphill and downhill weld test
