Refrigeration Technician – Lab Equipment (Minimal On-Call Work!)


Location: Kansas City, MO/KS

Are you a skilled Refrigeration Technician looking for a role with less on-call work and more work-life balance? We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading HVAC & Refrigeration contractor seeking a Refrigeration Technician to service lab and research facility equipment. Unlike traditional rack system work, this role offers steady hours with minimal emergency calls, making it an excellent opportunity for techs looking for stability without sacrificing pay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic testing to pinpoint issues and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Collaborate with lab managers and facility staff to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of service and repair work.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations and proper refrigerant handling.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of refrigeration service experience (lab equipment experience is a plus but not required).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
