Description
Role Overview:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of Key Customer Accounts. This position will reach his or her business targets through effective management of designated accounts including but not limited to order entry, customer communication, price maintenance, and intercompany management of shipping/delivery, part number, and product support to the management team. This individual will also develop and support ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and associates to continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role. Duties may vary to include some or all the following job responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Make front-line assessment of market conditions and advise/communicate to the team.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of products and services, competitor activities, and conduct other sales and marketing research and benchmarking as required.
  • Create and present professional presentations (verbal and visual) for Tredit products and services for delivery to customers via e-mail, virtual connection, and/or phone.
  • Overcome and resolve concerns and objections made by customers and buyers throughout the procurement process life cycle.
  • Promote product/service notable features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Additional inside sales or warranty responsibilities as necessary to support the outside sales function.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Sales Growth: Increase total sales with assigned OEM and trailer manufacturing accounts by 5-10% year over year.
  • Customer Retention: Maintain strong relationships and achieve at least a 90% customer retention rate across all assigned accounts.
  • Internal Communications and Collaboration: Maintain consistent communication with inside sales, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure customer needs are met, issues are addressed promptly, and information is shared accurately.

Requirements
Education/Experience and Required Skills:
  • Associate's degree in Sales, Business Administration or similar field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience in Customer Service working directly with buyer in a national account setting.
  • Sales service experience with multi-location shipping points is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and PDF software.
  • Knowledge working with Syspro or similar ERP software is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
  • Primarily office-based with travel to customer locations as necessary.
  • Must be able to frequently use hands and talk or hear.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 15 pounds at times.
  • The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
