Job description

The Brokerage and Logistics Specialist coordinates all aspects of third party logistics (3PL) and brokerage account transactions for the Brokerage and Logistics Division of Lawrence Transportation. Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Initiates and transacts 3PL and brokered shipments using LTL and full-load carrier base

  • Monitors shipments from pickup to delivery to ensure timely order flow

  • Provides updates to customers whenever there is an unexpected delay or other potential issue with a scheduled shipment

  • Interacts with LTL carrier representatives as needed to accomplish smooth order flow, competitive pricing, and accurate billing

  • Consistently and accurately completes all transactions in the necessary digital environments (i.e., carrier websites, email, and other Lawrence Transportation ERP systems)

  • Builds relationships with new carriers to expand the existing carrier base

Reporting Structure

The Brokerage and Logistics Specialist will report directly to the Director of Brokerage and Logistics, and will routinely interface with other business leaders.
