Job description

Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Rooms To Go's industry-leading supply chain by coordinating the movement of imported merchandise from international suppliers to our distribution centers. Working closely with Logistics, Customs, Merchandising, Warehousing, steamship lines, ports, and transportation partners, this position helps ensure shipments move efficiently through every stage of the import process.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where communication, problem-solving, and coordination are essential to delivering products to customers on time.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This position is based onsite at our Seffner, Florida location.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the movement of import containers between ports, distribution centers, and transportation providers to support timely product delivery.
  • Partner with Logistics, Customs, Merchandising, Warehouse Operations, steamship lines, ports, and trucking companies to facilitate inbound and return shipments.
  • Track international shipments and monitor transportation milestones to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays when necessary.
  • Communicate directly with steamship lines, carriers, freight partners, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, logistics documentation, and tracking information.
  • Identify and resolve shipping or transportation issues while escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory is available to support business and customer delivery expectations.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance logistics processes and supply chain efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • One or more years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, import/export, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with AS400 or other logistics, ERP, or warehouse management systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
