What you'll do
Account Management: Manage key accounts generating $10M+ in annual revenue by developing and maintaining strong relationships with senior management and key decision makers.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive new equipment and aftermarket sales within Oil Sands, Hard Rock Mining, and Comminution sectors.
Technical Expertise: Apply an enhanced technical understanding of Weir's product portfolio including design, installation, operation, and maintenance to support customer needs and exceed sales targets.
Collaboration: Work closely with Field Engineers, Product Managers, Engineering, and Sales teams to convert every revenue opportunity and provide technical and aftermarket support.
Business Planning: Create and execute comprehensive business plans and account reviews covering all market segments, product technologies, services, and competitor activities.
Sales Presentations: Conduct professional sales presentations to all levels within customer organizations to secure new business and strengthen partnerships.
Contract Negotiation: Review and actively participate in commercial contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
Mentorship: Serve as a leader and mentor within the Sales Team, supporting Account Managers and Inside Sales personnel to foster team growth and development.
CRM Utilization: Consistently use CRM applications to manage sales opportunities and track progress through all stages.
Travel: Regular travel is expected, including visits to remote sites and training sessions across Canada, USA, and globally.

What you'll bring

Must-haves:
Proven experience managing large accounts with significant revenue responsibility in mining or related industries.
Strong technical knowledge of mining equipment, materials, and technologies specifically pumps.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and achieve or exceed targets.

Nice-to-haves:
Experience in mentoring or leadership roles within sales teams.
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
Knowledge of aftermarket parts and service sales in mining or industrial sectors.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including to remote locations.
