Job description

Kent Quality Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory and Production Scheduling Analyst to support plant performance through accurate inventory control, effective production scheduling, and strong cross-functional communication. This role is based at our Quincy location and plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production readiness, and helping ensure customer demand is met efficiently.What You'll DoMaintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packaging, components, and finished goods within ERP/WMS systems.Support daily inventory control activities, including cycle counts, inventory adjustments, lot tracking, material movements, and reconciliation.Investigate inventory variances, identify root causes, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.Create, maintain, and communicate production schedules aligned with customer demand, inventory targets, labor capacity, equipment availability, and material constraints.Monitor finished goods inventory levels and recommend schedule adjustments to reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolete product risk.Track and analyze key production and scheduling metrics, including schedule adherence, attainment, inventory coverage, and service-related risks.Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, Quality, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain leadership to resolve issues and communicate changes.What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related field preferred.At least 5 years of experience in inventory management, inventory control, supply chain, production planning, or a related manufacturing environment.Experience using ERP/WMS systems required; Microsoft Business Central or Just Foods experience preferred.Food manufacturing or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, charting, and data analysis tools.Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, organization, and time management skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.Occasional flexibility with working hours, including Saturday work approximately once per month, to support inventory counts.
