POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the Tribal Lottery System (TLS), the Bingo System and the Keno System.

This position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guestโ€™s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions of the Slot Technician I include but not limited to:

  • Performs job duties in compliance with all State and Federal gaming regulations and Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel Internal Controls and Policies and Procedures.
  • Works as a team with the IT and Slots departments to assist guests in a timely manner.
  • Stays current on all casino promotions, events and activities and promotes such to casino guests.
  • Installs, moves, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains the Tribal Lottery Systems, Bingo Systems, Keno System and other equipment/systems in order to minimize downtime and maximize profitability of the gaming operation.
  • Handles machine related issues in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
  • Performs advanced tasks including but not limited to RAM clears and setup/configuration of software/hardware.
  • Performs Preventative Maintenance on the Tribal Lottery System, Bingo System and Keno System.
  • Provides the staff with daily work logs in electronic form and reviews electronic mail and determines whether any outstanding issues remain from the previous shifts and acts accordingly.
  • Maintains tools and performs necessary clean-up during and after specific job duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in: installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Tribal Lottery Systems or have related education and experience. Knowledge of Windows based platforms, Microsoft Office applications, networking, and computer hardware required. Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills are required.

Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.

Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May also, from time-to-time be exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.
