Forklift Operator (3rd Shift)

10pm-6:30am

$16.02-$17.52

Our location in Pembroke, NC has an opening for a Forklift Operator

Job responsibilities:

  • Properly counts finished product cases from production.
  • Packages finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
  • Conduct cycle counts to ensure materials are available for production.
  • Stages finished product for loading.
  • Loads finished product onto truck.
  • Unloads raw materials from truck.
  • Drives box truck to shipping freezer and unloads finished product and returns box truck to dry warehouse for reloading process.
  • Receives inbound raw materials.
  • Moves raw materials to warehouse storage.
  • Responsible for quality control; no damaged product is sent out. No damaged raw material is accepted in.
  • Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Safely operates forklift.
  • Completes daily logs.
  • Communicates with operators from other shifts.
  • Cleans and maintains work area.
  • Turns off and locks out equipment when not in use.
  • Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Who You Are:

  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
  • Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Able to stay focused in a loud working environment.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules 100% of the time.
  • Demonstrates experience with loading trailers.
  • Must pass Forklift training and receive certification.
  • Demonstrates safe forklift and electric walking pallet jack operations.
