· Maintains and cares for the physical well-being of all K2K9 dogs

· Assists Kennel Supervisor and/or veterinary staff, if necessary, with medical aid for the dogs.

· Monitors and observes animals for signs of illness or injury and reports to K2K9 Veterinarian.

· Feeds and waters animals as scheduled

· Lifts and carry food from pallets to individual kennels

· Complete forms and report to Kennel Supervisor regarding care, feeding and disposition of dog at conclusion of each shift

· Bathes dogs and performs related animal grooming and care

· Clean and sanitize kennels, kennel runs and kennel equipment

· Stock food and kennel supplies

· Maintain effective working relationships with all kennel employees including kennel master, dog handlers, kennel leaders, other kennel staff and all K2K9 employees.

· If necessary, assist Kennel Supervisor with transportation of the dogs
All other duties as assigned

  • Effectively apply K2K9 policies and procedures relating to the kennel operations and care, feeding, and handling of all K2K9 dogs.
  • Ensure that the dog’s health and well-being is of premium importance. Establish effective working relationships with all kennel and K2K9 employees.
