QC Chemist – Allegan MI
Kelly Science and Clinical is currently recruiting for a qualified, full-time, 12-18 month contract to potentially permanent hire QC Lab Chemist in the Allegan, Michigan area.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine testing on purchased materials and finished products in the Quality Control Laboratory. 
    • e.g. preparing sample/standard solutions, performing physicals and identification testing (e.g. pH meter, density meter, UV-Visible Spectrometry, Infrared Spectrometry, Malvern particle size analyzer, titration, viscosity etc.), as well as quantitative analysis using the following instrumentation:  HPLC, UPLC, GC, dissolution baths, Atomic Absorption etc.  
  •  Proficiently use electronic laboratory notebooks and input data to SAP. 
  • Maintain personal laboratory work area and assist with general laboratory cleaning
  • Participate in training and development
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education/Skills:
  • Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred – HS diploma required. Recent graduates urged to apply!
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge in Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Must be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and work well individually and in a team environment to complete daily assignments. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. 
Pay: $21 - 21.50/hr and based on experience and shift
Hours: The evening shift is priority to be filled. It may start on the dayshift and then transition to the evening shift after a couple of months. Candidates should be flexible to work any shift. The hours are 4-10hr shifts. See below:
First shift is Mon-Thurs-7am-5pm
Second shift is Mon-Thurs-4pm-2am
