Job description

KBS Constructors, Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable, professional Superintendent with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Our Superintendents oversee entire construction projects, ensuring plans, specifications, budget and schedule are followed according to contract. Superintendents are also responsible for overall jobsite safety in accordance with OSHA and company safety policies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supervise total construction effort in accordance to design, budget, and schedule by working with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and others.
  • Supervise and direct craft employees and subcontractors in planning and executing work, interpreting specs, and coordinating phases of construction.
  • Plan and coordinate onsite functions including scheduling, expediting and placement of material deliveries.
  • Write daily logs and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure overall safety on jobsite by requiring compliance with project procedures, safety requirements and work rules.

Skills
  • Excellent understanding of a wide variety of construction techniques, methods of installation and construction.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and execute technical documents and drawings.
  • Willingness to follow and require others to adhere to safety guidelines at all times and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people and trades in different roles.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
  • Represent KBS in a professional manner.

Education and Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in commercial construction required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
