Job description

Kaufman Real Estate Management, the real estate arm for the H.W. Kaufman Group and its subsidiary companies, is expanding its department and seeking a commercial office building and residential maintenance technician. The ideal candidate will have; an extensive background in facilities and maintenance management of office properties, computer proficiency, excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

This person should place emphasis on positive tenant experiences and proactive management of owned assets while enhancing the value of our properties in the commercial and residential space. This person is a hands-on, innovative, problem solver with a drive to provide strong customer service.


  • Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of executive residences 
  • Management of the day-to-day tenant issues and maintenance for company owned Commercial office buildings
  • Have experience and ability to schedule, assign and perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and roofing
  • Assist in vendor bidding, contract negotiations, and prepare and execute documents for approved property projects
  • Manage effective communication with tenants, team members and outside managers

  • College degree or industry certification preferred
  • 5+ years of related facilities or maintenance management experience in commercial office buildings
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact collaboratively with tenants, landlords and managers outside the company
  • Experience with partition furniture preferred
  • Prior experience with moves on a national level preferred
  • Must have reliable personal transportation
  • Some travel required (less than 10%)
