Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' unique needs, focusing on enhancing mobility, reducing pain, and restoring function.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the patient's physical capabilities, including muscle strength, joint function, and range of motion.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering care, ensuring all procedures align with prescribed treatment plans.
• Throughout treatment sessions, administer therapies such as manual exercises, functional activities, and the use of specialized equipment, tailoring approaches to maximize patient engagement.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, modifying care strategies as necessary to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, participating in case conferences to contribute insights and updates regarding patient health and needs.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, equipping them with strategies to continue care and support at home.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state regulations, and company policies in the delivery of care and documentation.
• Participate in ongoing professional training and development initiatives, staying current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic illness. You will frequently engage with patients across different age groups, addressing distinct rehabilitation needs and tailoring interventions accordingly. Through compassionate care and evidence-based practices, you will play an integral role in empowering clients to achieve their rehabilitation goals and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Active and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• A deep commitment to providing exceptional patient care and achieving outstanding clinical outcomes.

Preferred Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly within either acute care or home care settings. Experience working in rehabilitation facilities or familiarity with outpatient therapy processes will be highly regarded. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and treatment software is also preferred.
