What You’ll Do
  • Support doctors and technicians with animal restraint, examinations, procedures, treatments, radiographs, rehabilitation care, and patient handling.
  • Assist with triage, history collection, vital signs, laboratory testing, and preparation of supplies and equipment for patient care.
  • Help maintain clean, organized prep, treatment, and procedure areas, including instrument cleaning, wrapping, and sterilization.
  • Provide basic patient care such as bathing, nail trims, feeding, walking, and support for infectious disease and end-of-life care.
  • Assist with phlebotomy, peripheral IV catheter placement, urinary catheter care, medication administration support, dosage calculations, CPR support, and infusion monitoring as directed.
  • Restock supplies and help with essential hospital upkeep, including laundry, janitorial tasks, and cleaning biological debris when needed.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year in-hospital/shelter veterinary experience.
  • Basic customer service and computer skills.
  • Strong judgment, dependability, adaptability, and the ability to stay composed in high-stress situations.
  • A team-first mindset, clear communication, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continue building new skills in a hospital environment.
Work Environment
This role requires frequent standing, bending, and stooping, along with lifting up to 40 pounds and requesting assistance for heavier lifts. Team members may be exposed to imaging equipment, gas sterilization, infectious disease risks, chemotherapy agents, controlled substances, unpleasant odors and noises, aggressive animals, bites, scratches, animal waste, and other common hazards in a busy veterinary hospital setting.
