Synergy Companies help to provide no-cost energy-saving  programs to applicants of the local public utilities. We are a sub contractor for Central California's local natural gas, electrical, and water utility companies. We have teamed up with these utilities to provide their customers with measures / items that we install to reduce the homes electricity, water, and natural gas usage. Synergy Companies has over 40 years of experience working with these utility companies. We are seeking a highly driven and motivated applicant to join our team. As an outside sales representative, you will be responsible for canvassing neighborhoods (Knocking door to door), educating customers regarding no-cost programs available  in their area, and presenting a friendly face to our customers. You will be responsible for attending ongoing training, remaining knowledgeable  about ongoing programs. Our sales representatives are a vital part of our team in ensuring customers are properly educated regarding energy savings measures while promoting a friendly and outgoing attitude. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Convey Products and services effectively to customers in person
  • Convey the benefits of the services available to customers, training provided
  • Canvass ( Knocking door to door ) distribute program literature, and schedule a technician for a minimum of 5 appointments daily
  • Attend training
  • Become certified and badged for the Energy Saving Assistant programs
  • Keep a regular communication with the office, assigned technician, and manager
  • Have a friendly and outgoing attitude 
  • Remain knowledgeable about programs going on with the company
  • Maintain a presentable and professional appearance 
  • Driving to different areas within the San Luis Obispo area 

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience as a Door-to-Door salesperson or similar role
  • Understanding of the Sales process and dynamics 
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and self - motivated 
  • Resilient with the ability to handle rejection
  • Proficiency in English
  • High School diploma or GED
