What is a Kadima?

Kadima is a Hebrew word meaning 'forward,' and it is commonly used to refer to a Jewish youth group for children in grades 6-8, particularly within the United Synagogue Youth (USY) organization. Kadima groups provide pre-teens with opportunities for social, educational, and religious activities that foster Jewish identity and community involvement. Through events, leadership development, and cultural programming, Kadima helps prepare young people for further engagement in Jewish life as they grow older.
