Job description

Summary:

Responsible for organizing and distributing incoming mail and packages to the correct individual and/or department. Receives and processes all returned mail. Inventories, orders and stocks all office & kitchen supplies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sort and collate incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail and packages.
  • Open and review incoming mail to ensure proper delivery, and discard junk mail.
  • Maintain all logs, records, and receipts of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Deliver mail, messages, documents, and packages to individuals/departments within the Home Office.
  • Receive and process all returned mail. This includes contacting the FA for corrected address information and resending per FAโ€™s instructions.
  • Process all outgoing mail and packages via USPS, Federal Express, UPS to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Order and stock supplies in mail room and copy areas.
  • Order and stock snacks for break room.
  • Operate mail and office machines, i.e., postage meter, photocopier, etc.
  • Primary back up to the receptionist as needed.
  • Perform general administrative and office tasks such as scanning and filing of documents.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational, observation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • General computer operating ability including Microsoft Office products.
  • Onsite presence required.

Education and/or Work Experience:

  • Minimum Education Required: High School diploma.
  • Minimum Work Experience Required: 1+ years of related experience.

Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to work in a stationary position for several hours at a time and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally. Some filing is required. The work environment is an air-conditioned, smoke-free, office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
