IT Network and Security Engineer


Job Description

CURE Auto Insurance is a leading direct writer of auto insurance in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of IT (incident management, problem management, change management, vulnerability management, monitoring, etc.

  • Resolving requests and incidents with a high sense of urgency, prioritization, and taking ownership.

  • Ongoing support for network upgrades, repairs, and new hardware implementation throughout the infrastructure.

  • Maintain metrics and ticketing system, and produce ongoing reports to business leads

  • Ability to handle emergencies during non-business hours, including on-call, evenings, and weekends.

  • Responsible for the development, documentation, and maintenance of information security policies and procedures.

  • Manage vendor and procurement of hardware and softwares

  • Collaborate with business units and teammates to identify, prioritize, plan, and implement continuous service improvement opportunities

  • Oversee the organization’s cybersecurity training program for end-users

  • Support IT audits and documentation as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience/Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in a technology field or equivalent working experience

  • 5+ years of expert experience in managing IT Infrastructure operations (Physical/Virtual Servers, Networking Connectivity, Phone System, Storage Network, Help Desk Support, Daily Backup).

  • Expert experience in one or more in network devices and infrastructure, such as Palo Alto network, Juniper, Cisco, and Windows servers.

  • Expert experience of TCP/IP, Routing, VPN, LAN/WAN topologies, Active Directory, backups, and disaster recovery.

  • Expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues in routing, firewalls, and switches. Windows and macOS are required.

  • Experience with network security and monitoring tools like Datadog, SolarWinds, etc

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Hands-on experience within a multi-location environment

  • Team player with a high level of dedication and commitment to excellence.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

  • Working Knowledge of one of the cloud AWS, GCP, or Azure is required

  • Technical certification in Cisco/Security/Windows or any relevant field is a plus.

Starting Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience

Schedule: We offer flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with options like 8–4, 8:30–4:30, or 9–5. We do our best to support individual preferences, though schedules may be adjusted as needed to ensure strong coverage and teamwork.

We also offer a hybrid schedule: team members work onsite four days a week and can work remotely one day a week.
