Required Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years in Telecommunications/IP-MPLS-Ethernet environment or equivalent Technical Training.
- Experience in analysis and design of transport networks, LAN and WAN data networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services.
- Experience with equipment configuration programming.
- College/Technical School degree or equivalent work experience
- Self-motivated and the ability to make independent decisions based on policies, practices & project requirements.
- Strong knowledge of PC and software applications.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Strong technical aptitude for new protocols and technologies with the ability to provide technical support and direction.
- Customer focused with a desire to exceed expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Nokia NRS-II / Juniper JNCIS / Cisco CCNP certification of equivalent experience, preferred.
- Working knowledge of DWDM telecommunications transmission systems, preferred.
- Knowledge of Microwave RF Transmission Technology, preferred.
- Knowledge of other conventional telecommunications equipment functions, applications, and configurations, preferred.
- Working knowledge of Internet Protocols version's IPv4 & IPv6 and familiar with DDoS detection methods, preferred.
