Physical Requirements
The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 30lbs; occasionally transporting objects up to 20lbs; regularly sitting/standing at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); utilizing mouse, keyboard, and phone for portions of the day. Ability to travel to various locations on and off-campus for meetings.

The University of Kentucky is seeking a Software Developer II (Mobile, Portal & Web Applications) to join our Enterprise Applications team within Information Technology Services. This position is part of UK's evolving IT strategy and will report through the Technology Services department in Beyond Blue effective July 1, 2026.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, user experience, and enterprise systems, supporting applications that power critical university operations and enhance how students, faculty, and staff interact with UK systems.
You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web and mobile applications, integrating systems such as ERP platforms and data services, and helping deliver solutions that improve both efficiency and user experience across the university.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise web, mobile, and portal applications
  • Build and support backend services and integrations, including ERP and data systems
  • Enhance system performance, scalability, and reliability while modernizing legacy code
  • Collaborate with business partners, product leads, and IT teams to deliver effective solutions
  • Contribute to system design, technical roadmap planning, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Provide technical support, documentation, and mentorship to junior developers

Five years of related experience preferred.
