Position: Junior Java Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Java Developer with 1–3 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Java applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with modern Java technologies, backend development frameworks, RESTful APIs, relational databases, and version control systems. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications while following industry best practices and software development standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain robust Java-based backend applications using Java 8/11/17 and the Spring Boot framework.

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with web, mobile, and third-party applications.

  • Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.

  • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following SOLID principles and design patterns.

  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability through efficient coding practices.

  • Develop database objects, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance.

  • Collaborate with UI developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business analysts to deliver high-quality software.

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and root cause analysis of production issues.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards, maintainability, and security compliance.

  • Work with Git for source code management and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.

  • Create technical documentation, API specifications, and deployment guides.

  • Support production releases, monitor application performance, and resolve application defects within SLA timelines.

  • Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and development methodologies.

Required Technical Skills
  • 1–4 years of professional experience in Java application development.

  • Strong proficiency in Core Java, including Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, Generics, Streams, and Lambda Expressions.

  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.

  • Experience developing RESTful web services using JSON and HTTP protocols.

  • Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA ORM frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.

  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.

  • Ability to write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, joins, indexes, and views.

  • Experience with Git, GitHub, or GitLab for version control.

  • Familiarity with Maven or Gradle build automation tools.

  • Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Understanding of CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

  • Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

  • Basic understanding of Microservices architecture and API Gateway concepts.

  • Knowledge of application security practices including authentication, authorization, and OWASP guidelines.
