Job Title

Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Post Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development of autonomous robotic systems and associated hardware platforms. The role involves electrical architecture design, PCB and PCBA development, embedded systems integration, power systems design, firmware collaboration, product testing, manufacturing support, and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires close collaboration with cross functional teams to deliver advanced autonomous technology solutions.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define overall electrical architecture for next generation autonomous systems.

  • Design, develop, document, test, and release PCBA level hardware solutions.

  • Create schematics and perform component selection.

  • Manage electronic component libraries.

  • Perform PCB layout and design optimization.

  • Generate and release engineering documentation.

  • Integrate ECAD and MCAD design components.

  • Conduct laboratory testing, validation, and system integration.

  • Support field testing and troubleshooting activities.

  • Collaborate with software and firmware teams to define interfaces and requirements.

  • Perform engineering trade studies and technical evaluations.

  • Support manufacturing teams and contract manufacturers during product release.

  • Prepare and maintain production documentation.

  • Participate in system level design reviews and product development activities.

  • Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.

  • Advanced degree preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience designing PCBAs.

  • Experience working with embedded computing platforms.

  • Strong hands on experience with electronics laboratory equipment.

  • Experience using Visio or Drawio.

  • Strong proficiency with Altium Designer.

  • Experience with PLM systems.

  • Knowledge of integrating ECAD and PLM systems preferred.

  • Experience with RS232, UART, CAN, I2C, and SPI communication protocols.

  • Experience designing switching power supplies.

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • FPGA design experience preferred.

  • Verilog and VHDL experience preferred.

  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
