Job description

BubbleUp is hiring a Full-Stack Web Developer. If you are local to North Houston area, if you are knowledgeable in building backends, frontends, and the APIs in between, if you are well versed in TypeScript and passionate about code efficiency, if you know how to leverage AI while keeping applications secure and free of AI nonsense, if you can do a decent technical UI and maximize end user experience please join our fun team!
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full development lifecycle from refining project requirements with clients to deploy to production and post-production tests and maintenance.
- Build secure backends, slick and fast frontends and efficient integrations.
- Collaborate with management, AI models and other engineers to get the job done efficiently.
- Perform dev QA cycle and know how to automate tests and release new project features with least risk.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers on best practices, design patterns, security and compliance etc.
Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years in Javascript based backend and frontend web development with REST and GraphQL API integrations
- Experience in building SQL, NoSQL backend databases, applying efficient indexing and query optimizations (preferably AWS stack)
- Experience in leveraging AI with tools like Cursor and Copilot.
- Deep knowledge of security standards and best practices to ensure proper data encoding, proofing against XSS, injections and other common types of web attacks.
- Experience with AWS stack is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with older PHP based systems is necessary.
- Exceptional debugging skills required.
- Must be fluent in English and able to represent the company in client-facing meetings.
