SENIOR TRANSMISSION LINE ENGINEER โ€“ CALIFORNIA (HYBRID)


Amica Talent is proactively connecting with experienced Senior Transmission Line Engineers for a leading engineering consultancy delivering Transmission & Distribution infrastructure projects across California.


This opportunity is ideal for engineers looking to take a technical leadership role while helping expand transmission engineering capabilities across the West Coast.


If you have extensive overhead transmission line design experience and enjoy leading client relationships, mentoring engineers, and delivering complex utility projects, we'd like to speak with you.


ROLE OVERVIEW

Senior Transmission Line Engineers in this role will be responsible for:

  • Leading overhead transmission line engineering projects from concept through detailed design
  • Acting as the technical lead and primary client contact on power delivery projects
  • Building and strengthening long-term utility client relationships
  • Supporting business development and regional growth initiatives
  • Performing transmission line routing and engineering design
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, reports, and construction documentation
  • Providing QA/QC reviews across multiple engineering projects
  • Supporting structural analysis and foundation design
  • Developing engineering specifications and design criteria
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supporting technical development
  • Travelling to client sites as required


REQUIRED BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required
  • 8+ years of Transmission Line Engineering experience
  • Strong overhead transmission line design experience
  • Advanced knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
  • Experience with MFAD and L-Pile
  • PLS-TOWER experience is advantageous
  • Previous experience leading engineering projects and client relationships
  • Strong communication and leadership skills


LOCATION (Hybrid)

San Diego, California (or surrounding areas)
