Job description

We are looking for aTax Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who can lead corporate tax compliance, planning, and strategy, while partnering with leadership to optimize the organization’s tax position.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance processes
  • Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and related filings
  • Lead tax planning and strategy initiatives to minimize tax exposure
  • Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance
  • Oversee tax provisions and support financial statement reporting (ASC 740)
  • Partner with finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies
  • Support audits and respond to tax notices or inquiries
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and tax savings
  • Mentor and develop junior tax staff or team members
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA strongly preferred (or MST a plus)
  • 6+ years of corporate tax or public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations
  • Experience with tax provision work (ASC 740 preferred)
  • Background in public accounting or corporate tax department
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
