Job description

Jr. Systems Administrator

Location: Atlanta, GA, Onsite    Department: IT     Employment Type: Full-Time

Ready to Be the Go-To IT Person?

Momar is looking for a Jr. Systems Administrator who's ready to level up from helpdesk tickets into real infrastructure ownership. You'll be the one automating away the manual processes, running our Microsoft Entra ID environment, and keeping our people up and running — all while building skills that'll fuel your career for years to come.

If you like solving puzzles, automating repetitive tasks out of existence, and being the person everyone's grateful to see walk up to their desk — let's talk.

What You'll Own
  • Write, test, and maintain PowerShell scripts that eliminate manual IT work
  • Automate user onboarding/offboarding so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) — user lifecycle, group-based licensing, and authentication troubleshooting
  • Enroll and manage mobile devices and workstations through MDM
  • Swap out and configure network equipment like switches and access points
  • Keep Momar's computers and systems running smoothly with daily checks
  • Support software releases and rollouts
  • Be the first line of defense for end-user issues — in person, email, phone, and remote
  • Walk users through troubleshooting with patience and a smile
  • Get hands-on: install/upgrade software, install hardware, configure systems
  • Log and track every Help Desk ticket like a pro
  • Configure new PCs and roll out upgrades on existing ones
  • Research and deploy software updates, drivers, and fixes
  • Test your fixes and follow up to make sure they actually stuck
  • Write training guides and FAQs that make everyone's life easier
  • Occasionally jump in for evening/weekend support on bigger projects
  • Keep tabs on all our IT equipment — desktops, laptops, phones, printers, and more
What You Bring
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user lifecycle management and group-based licensing
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a helpdesk or systems support role, with some exposure to Windows domain infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Familiarity with malware removal tools
  • General understanding of LAN and networking concepts
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving instincts
  • Excellent communication skills — you can explain tech stuff to non-tech people without making them feel dumb
  • A collaborative mindset for working with clients, technical staff, and vendors
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
  • 40 hours/week onsite, 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm
  • Occasional weekend work (rare)
  • Minimal telecommuting in year one, with remote options re-evaluated after that
  • Comfortable sitting for extended periods, with the dexterity to work a keyboard and mouse all day
  • Able to lift 25-30 lbs.
  • Occasional ladder climbing for network/A/V troubleshooting or wiring
