AI-First. Future-Driven. Human-Centered.

At OpenText, AI is at the heart of everything we do-powering innovation, transforming work, and empowering digital knowledge workers. We are hiring talent AI can't replace to help us shape the future of information management. Join us.

Your Impact

The Enterprise Cybersecurity Product Marketing team at OpenText is a critical component of our cybersecurity GTM engine. We translate complex technical capabilities into compelling, value-based messaging and positioning that make CISOs nod and competitors sweat. If you love cutting through noise and being part of a revenue engine, keep reading.

What The Role Offers

You'll own global go-to-market for the Data Security Portfolio (formerly Voltage) inside an AI-first marketing org that cares about results over theatrics. Your job: craft positioning that proves our discovery-to-encryption platform closes DSPM gaps, thwarts quantum era threats, and generally saves the day. You'll report to the Sr. Director of Cybersecurity Product Marketing and partner with product, sales, and multiple marketing disciplines to turn bright ideas into revenue - fast.

What You'll Drive Why It Matters

  • Messaging & Positioning - Build punchy, differentiated narratives for data discovery, tokenization, DSPM, and PETs Buyers are tired of vendor jargon; they want value clarity with the tech chops to back it up. You'll give it to them.
  • Competitive Intensity - Track and out-position data security players like Varonis, BigID, Wiz, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Cyera, Thales, IBM Guardium, Imperva & Protegrity Knowing them inside out lets us steal their lunch money - ethically, of course.
  • Launch Excellence - Orchestrate releases, hero use cases (DSPM, cloud-agnostic encryption) and customer proof points Activity without discipline is just chaos. You'll keep everyone honest and focused on the prize.
  • Sales & Partner Enablement - Create battlecards, calculators, talk tracks, and training that bump win rates Because hope is not a strategy and "random acts of marketing" won't help sales progress and close opportunities.
  • Demand-Gen Alignment - Feed persona-based pain points (CISOs, Data Privacy Officers, DBAs) and compelling events (breach, new privacy law, data audit) into campaigns We chase buyers budget priorities, not impressions.
  • Market Insight - Mine analyst, customer, and market data to inform product direction (DSP, DSPM, PETs) Staying ahead of competitive threats beats playing catchup any day.

What You Need To Succeed

  • 8+ years in enterprise software with 5+ in cybersecurity or data security product marketing
  • Handson wins launching or messaging DSPM, discovery/classification, encryption/tokenization, DLP, or database activity monitoring
  • Stints at - or battles won against - data security vendors like Varonis, BigID, Wiz, PrismaCloud, Microsoft Security, Cyera, Thales CipherTrust, IBM Guardium, Imperva, or Protegrity
  • AI marketing chops: you've used GenAI or ML-based AI (not just read the blog posts). You don't need to be an expert, but you need to be hands-on and keen to learn more. We'll level you up.
  • Fluent in translating techspeak into value for CISOs, CIOs, CDOs, and Data Security Engineers
  • You've helped enable sales teams to smash quotas - and you have the receipts.
  • Killer storyteller on stage, camera, or analyst calls - you have your own style that inspires confidence in your audience.
  • Data driven, self-directed, happy to step up, and ready to take on the doomsayers; you get it done.

One Last Thing

We're thousands of cyber experts strong with the resources of a market leader and the hustle of a scaleup. There are ten business units at OpenText, and we intend to be the biggest within five years. You'll also work side by side with a team leader that's been knee-deep in AI since IBM's Watson won Jeopardy. Finally, you'll be working on something that matters. Cybersecurity protects individuals as well as businesses. Breaches can kill careers at scale, drain life savings to the tune of billions, and threaten national security. Come and help us connect our customers to the solutions they need to stop that happening.
