They assist in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security protocols are followed. Typically, they work under the supervision of senior system administrators and help with tasks such as user account management, backups, and routine system updates. This role is ideal for those starting their careers in IT and looking to gain hands-on experience in system administration.

Familiarity with system administration tools such as Active Directory, ticketing systems, and basic scripting languages is commonly required. • Application Support: Maintain and administer SQL Server/MS Access databases and support HMI/SCADA development (e.g., PlantPAx, PCS7, Ignition).
  • Security and Compliance: Integrate modern security solutions (including MyID/MFA) with existing control systems, assist the Cybersecurity team with incident response, support auditing, and manage patching/upgrading of OT equipment via SCCM and/or WSUS.
  • User and Policy Management: Administer Windows Domain policies, user accounts, and Group Policies; provide Help Desk support for common user issues.
  • Operational Support: Work closely with manufacturing to maintain continuous operations, identify future needs, and support modernization projects by specifying and designing resilient computer/server solutions.

  • Ability to stand up a server from scratch.
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative and minimal supervision.
