The Opportunity

This position supports a mission-focused cyber operations program in the Dulles / Chantilly, VA area. As an Apple iOS Developer, you will serve on a highly collaborative technical team solving real-time operational challenges and delivering advanced capabilities directly to end users.

We are seeking a skilled and mission-driven iOS developer who thrives in applied research environments and enjoys working closely with operators to build impactful solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy owning the full software lifecycle—from concept and design through development, deployment, and sustainment.

You will design and develop custom software tools and techniques for the Apple iOS platform, contribute to innovative cyber capabilities, and help transition research efforts into operational use. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues using both commercial and government-provided tools, producing clear documentation for operational support, mentoring junior developers, and driving mission objectives forward in a fast-paced environment.

Core Experience

Candidates should bring hands-on experience in:

Developing, testing, and debugging software in Python and C

Reverse engineering iOS or macOS applications (ARM or x86 architectures)

Working with modern version control platforms such as Git

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate:

A firm understanding of network fundamentals and how networked systems operate

Experience diagnosing and debugging complex software issues using COTS and GOTS tools

The ability to document developed software and techniques for operational use and sustainment

Experience mentoring or leading junior developers in mission-driven environments
