Job description

Role: iOS Engineer
Location: Minnesota 
Visa: USC
 
Position Overview:
Our mobile application team is seeking an iOS Engineer with solid experience in Swift development. This role will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
About our team and apps:
We are a lean, collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality mobile applications to a large student user base. We currently maintain multiple apps across Apple and Google app stores, supporting tens of thousands of users.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI/UIKit
  • Contribute to the development lifecycle from design through deployment
  • Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
  • Work with backend services for data integration and synchronization
  • Support Apple Developer account activities such as provisioning and app submissions
  • Assist in performance tuning and troubleshooting issues
  • Implement and support push notification functionality
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers
  • Monitor and resolve issues in production applications
  • Participate in code reviews and follow coding best practices
  • Contribute to CI/CD processes and Agile ceremonies
  • Work within Xcode for development, debugging, and testing
Additional Skills / Nice to Have:
  • Experience with cloud integrations (AWS or GCP)
  • Basic understanding of backend technologies (APIs, microservices)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools
  • Exposure to enterprise application environments
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in iOS development
  • Strong knowledge of Swift (SwiftUI/UIKit)
  • Experience integrating REST APIs
  • Understanding of mobile application lifecycle and App Store processes
