Job description

Job Summary:
Avid Technology Professionals is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a high priority malware analysis modernization program. The role involves developing new capabilities for malware containment and supporting modernization efforts, working within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
• Requires a developer for a high priority and highly visible malware analysis modernization program.
• The individual will work with a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the virtual malware containment enclave.
• The individual will also support the modernization of malware enrichment services.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience with system design and developing large-scale, high-performance applications
• Kubernetes
• Experience with Message Broker Software (RabbitMQ/etc.)
• Ability to mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
• Ability to develop high-quality, efficient, and testable code
• Ability to debug complex, system-wide issues.
• Java Application (no front end necessary), REST
• Ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks quickly
• Experience with Atlassian tools, Git
• Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE
• Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
