This role is central to data governance, system modernization, and migration of legacy databases to cloud-based environments.RESPONSIBILITIES:Design, analyze, and modernize Oracle database architectures supporting fisheries management programs.Lead data migration efforts from legacy systems to Oracle databases hosted in AWS environments.Develop and optimize PL/SQL, database schemas, and DDL to support operational and analytical workloads.Analyze existing NOAA Fisheries databases and recommend consolidation and modernization strategies.Provide technical leadership on enterprise data architecture and integration initiatives.Ensure database solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to align application and data architectures.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.8+ years of Oracle database administration and development experience.Demonstrated experience with enterprise data architecture and cloud migration.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Oracle Enterprise Database 19c+Oracle Cloud Control, Oracle APEXAWS-hosted Oracle environmentsSQL Developer, Toad Think Tank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
