Job description

ALLIANCE is building a Data and Development Department to strengthen how data is used across the organization and to support informed, data-driven decision making. The Senior Data Analyst plays a critical role in advancing these efforts by transforming complex data into clear, accurate, and actionable insights that support business and operational teams.

Working closely with a cross-functional data team that includes data engineers, software engineers, DevOps, and analysts, this role independently leads the exploration, preparation, and analysis of data across multiple systems and datasets. The Senior Data Analyst leverages SQL and Python to perform advanced analysis, validate data integrity, and develop reports and dashboards that help uncover trends, measure performance, identify opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.

This role focuses on delivering sophisticated analytical solutions, strengthening enterprise reporting capabilities, and expanding the organization’s use of trusted data. The Senior Data Analyst serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to stakeholders while providing guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, helping ensure that data is accessible, well-understood, and effectively used to drive better outcomes for the credit union and its members.

To use advanced SQL and Python to query, analyze, and validate data from multiple databases, datasets, and data sources, including APIs, transform that information into meaningful insights, and deliver advanced reports, dashboards, and data tables that enable business partners and members of the data team to make informed decisions while serving as a technical resource and mentor to other analysts.
