Job description

Title: Software Developer- Mid Location: Kansas City MO Duration: Long term Must have active Secret Clearance or willing to obtain one .NET developer should be able to design, code, test, new and existing applications using core software engineering principles. In addition, candidate must have a history of leading their team in workflow, project management, design, code review, and the overall technical lead of the development team. Technical Skills * Design and develop code using object orientated principles and design standards. * Deep expertise and hands on experience with object orientated software development and the overall development domain including: languages, frameworks, and design patterns. * Develop and implement standards for coding discipline, testing, and software maintainability. * Evaluate, estimate, and prioritize system enhancement requests. * Maintain the development source control repositories. * Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews. * Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies in order to provide recommendations for future technology strategies. * Support production by leading efforts to troubleshoot production issues. Basic Qualifications: * Minimum of 8 Years' Experience developing in C# * ASP.NET Development-- Experience with .NET 4.0/4.5 * Extensive MVC experience * JavaScript and CSS * IIS 7 * MS SQL Server 2008 * 2 years performing at the Senior Lead of their development team. Preferred Skill Sets: * ORM's (Entity Framework) * JQuery * Bootstrap * MS SQL Server SSIS * .NET 5.0 Soft skills as well as technical skills are critical in the position of a senior developer. The ideal candidate will have the following general abilities: * Effective communication (oral and written) and organizational skills. * Ability to independently handle and prioritize multiple projects. * Strong deductive reasoning/troubleshooting skills * Ability to work with little or no supervision * History of handling complex projects through to completion * Technical/process documentation skills Education and Certifications: * Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
