* Information Technology Entry-Level Software Developer (Python Required) Location: St. Louis, MO Clearance: HSPD-12 / ability to obtain TS/SCI w/ Poly Required Certifications: DD8140 compliant Certification (Security+) w/in 3 months Level: T1 (Target) Job Description: The BIT, LLC is recruiting for a junior (entry level) software developer to work on the design and coding with software solutions for the Aeronautical Navigation Office.  The ideal candidate has a familiarity with and a baseline understanding of software development concepts, developing coding skills using different tools, and ambition towards future projects in support of the mission.    Responsibilities: The applicant must possess competence with Python and should have working knowledge JavaScript/TypeScript.  Other duties include working with Docker, AWS Cloud, and familiarity with JSON APIs. This role includes creation and documentation of new and existing functionality within software version control repositories (GitLab) and utilizing DevOps principals and tools to deliver new features within an Agile construct. Participate in program Agile software development initiatives (standup, planning, Increment planning) to support innovation and enhancement of custom applications through iteration/functionality testing. Primary responsibilities will involve developing configurations and features for processing Safety of Navigation (SoN) data through an Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Machine Learning (ML) application. This role includes API development and database integration for interaction with React frameworks, using various open-source packages for visualization and data filtering and code modifications that shall apply best practices in unit and build testing. Participate and collaborate with team members to assess tickets to ensure proper testing and delivery of functionality per User Story Acceptance Criteria Core Qualifications: * Minimum 1 year of experience with Python. * Experience with modern JavaScript development framework. * Experience with unit testing, continuous integration tools, and Gitlab version control * Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. * Experience in either software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment. * Requires BS degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of related experience. * Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follow tasks to their logical conclusion and make sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail. * Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context. Preferred Qualifications: * At least 1 year of experience with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and/or Computer Vision (CV) Technologies (AWS Textract, Tesseract, OpenCV) * At least 1 year of experience with DoD Aeronautical Datasets * At least 2 years of experience with AWS cloud formation templates and/or AWS CDK. * Experience with 2D data (HTML Canvas, OpenLayers, Leaflet, GeoJSON, Godot) * AWS Solutions or DevOps certification * Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence) * Ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph
