Job description

Job Summary:
Cross Resource Group is a leading aerospace and defense organization seeking a Software Engineer to support onsite software development for mission-critical test equipment systems in Tucson, AZ. The role involves hands-on Windows-based application development, integration, troubleshooting, and support for test systems, while also mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio
• Develop Windows-based software solutions that support engineering, production, and test equipment environments
• Create and maintain applications, libraries, utilities, and instrument drivers
• Troubleshoot software issues and test equipment instrumentation problems
• Support system-level applications used in product development, production, and sustainment
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware, test, production, and program environments
• Develop and derive software requirements for test equipment and supporting software products
• Prioritize and manage multiple software engineering tasks at the same time
• Contribute independently and as part of a team to complete engineering lifecycle work
• Lead and mentor junior software engineers when needed
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. citizenship required
• Secret clearance required or ability to meet assignment-specific clearance requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 8+ years of relevant professional software engineering experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience with an advanced STEM degree
• Strong experience developing object-oriented applications in C# and C++
• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio in a Windows OS environment
• Experience with software integration, debugging, troubleshooting, and requirements development
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Tucson, AZ
• Ability to support domestic travel if required by the assignment
Preferred:
• Experience working in a test equipment, lab, production support, manufacturing engineering, defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated technical environment
