Job description

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software for Payload Control System
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate software solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure optimal system performance
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development practices

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in C++ programming. Specifically, the standard template library (STL), smart pointers, and inheritance
  • Experience working with Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS)
  • Experience with networking protocols, AMQP, and socket programming such as TCP and UDP
  • Experience with software development and source control best practices (Git)
  • US Citizenship required

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Software development experience in a Linux environment
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with the QT Framework
  • Understanding of BYG-1 and knowledge of submarine systems and operations
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
