Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Capability Developer to support the research, development, and deployment of advanced cyber capabilities in support of national security missions. The selected candidate will conduct reverse engineering, vulnerability research, malware analysis, exploit development, and software capability development against a wide range of operating systems, applications, embedded devices, and network technologies. This position requires a deep understanding of low-level system internals, assembly language, software development, and offensive cyber tradecraft. The Cyber Capability Developer will collaborate with software engineers, and cyber developers to develop and deploy innovative capabilities that enable cyberspace operations and mission success. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: Reverse Engineering & Vulnerability Research * Perform static and dynamic analysis of software, firmware, operating systems, and malicious code. * Reverse engineer compiled binaries to understand functionality, identify vulnerabilities, and assess security controls. * Analyze proprietary protocols, file formats, and communications mechanisms. * Conduct vulnerability discovery and root-cause analysis. * Assess exploitability of identified weaknesses. * Analyze anti-analysis, anti-debugging, and obfuscation techniques. Capability Development * Design, develop, test, and maintain cyber capabilities supporting requirements. * Develop custom tools and automation using C, C++, Rust, Python, Go, or similar languages. * Create software modules supporting collection, persistence, access, and mission objectives. * Integrate developed capabilities into existing platforms and toolsets. * Participate in secure software development and DevSecOps pipelines. Technical Analysis * Research emerging technologies, operating systems, applications, and embedded devices. * Conduct protocol analysis and network traffic inspection. * Evaluate security architectures and identify potential attack vectors. * Perform technical assessments of commercial and government systems. * Produce technical documentation, reports, and briefings for stakeholders. Technical Skills * Reverse engineering frameworks - Ghidra (preferred), IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, and Radare2. * Debugging and dynamic analysis using WinDbg, x64dbg, GDB, and LLDB. * Proficiency with x86/x64 Assembly, ARM Assembly, C/C++, and Python. * Strong understanding of operating system internals, memory management, process execution, networking protocols, secure coding principles, and vulnerability research techniques. Security Requirements * U.S. Citizenship required. * Active Secret clearance required. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. * Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
