Job Summary:
Redfin is revolutionizing the real estate industry by using data, software, and innovative design to enhance the home-buying and selling process. The Customer Growth team is looking for a Software Developer II to collaborate with various stakeholders, rapidly prototype and iterate on experiments, and own the full lifecycle of features to improve user engagement and conversion.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other engineers to shape the user journey from first click to customer
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on experiments that drive measurable improvements in conversion and engagement
• Own the full lifecycle of features, from technical design and implementation to monitoring and optimization
• Help shape the team’s technical direction and contribute to decisions around architecture, tooling, and best practices
• Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and foster a culture of learning and collaboration
Qualifications:
Required:
• 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience specifically in React, Javascript, PostgresSQL, Hibernate, Kafka, AWS, Datadog and Java
• Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers
• You have experience using AI code generation tools tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
• Brings a product mindset: curious about user behavior, driven to improve the user experience, and motivated by business impact
• Previous experience working on A/B-experimentation teams a plus
