Position Profile This Software Developer position supports enterprise applications built and maintained by third-party vendors (e.g., ServiceNow, DocuSign, FreshDesk, and similar platforms). The successful candidate will configure, troubleshoot, and integrate these vendor-hosted systems, coordinate with vendor support teams, and connect them to internal Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools of the Administrative Office of the Courts. This position requires at least two (2) days per week working onsite at AOC facilities Duties and Responsibilities Develops and maintains functionality used by software applications, including change management, security and authentication, application distribution, support for data access, search routines, system wide configurations, and reports.

Collaborates with project managers, business analysts, and other IT resources to develop IT applications/software using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). May serve as the technical leader on moderately complex software or application development efforts. Analyzes IT problems, conducts in-depth research, and provides recommendations on solutions based on business and technical requirements.

Reviews and comments on functional and technical specifications written by AOC staff. Develops applications and software solutions using assigned languages, platforms, and frameworks. Creates and maintains technical documentation for research and reference.

Performs initial unit and system testing using both manual and automated test processes with all assignments and work products being delivered to ensure they are working as expected. Participates with senior staff in design reviews of applications, software, systems and services. Collaborates with other developers and the test team to assist in testing as development progresses.

Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems. Creates documentation for ISD staff to deploy developed solutions to various environments. Maintains IT applications and associated components in collaboration with the application support team.

Proactively monitors system performance to identify emerging issues. Evaluates results of integration efforts, then reports and make recommendations based on findings. Responds to customer service requests and provides journey-level troubleshooting, problem resolution and consulting.

Communicates system problems and issues to key stakeholders, including both technical and business end users. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications and Credentials A combination of education and experience demonstrating a working knowledge of the duties, responsibilities and competencies of the Software Developer may substitute for the qualifications listed.

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, OR closely allied field, AND: Four (4) years of experience in a complex information technology environment TO INCLUDE: Three (3) years of experience developing and enhancing applications using C#, .NET, MS Entity Framework, MS Power Platform. THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL ALSO HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Experience administering and supporting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or SaaS applications such as ServiceNow, DocuSign, FreshDesk, Quicken, or comparable platforms, including configuration, user/role management, and day-to-day troubleshooting. Experience working with third-party vendors and vendor support teams to triage, escalate, and resolve application issues, including managing support tickets, SLAs, and vendor communication

Working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, and webhooks to integrate vendor applications with internal systems and data sources. Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, to build integrations and automate workflows connecting vendor applications to internal tools. Experience developing and supporting solutions in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and similar platforms, including their use as integration points for third-party applications.

Working knowledge of identity and access management for cloud/SaaS applications, including SSO, SAML/OAuth, and Azure AD (Entra ID) integration. Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM practices - incident, problem, and change management - for supporting production applications in a service desk or help desk environment. Ability to analyze application logs, diagnose errors, and perform root-cause analysis across both vendor-hosted and internal systems.

Experience coordinating vendor application upgrades, patches, and release cycles, including regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL for reporting, troubleshooting, and reconciling data between vendor and internal systems. General knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Enterprise Architecture fundamentals.

Skill using version control systems and familiarity with automated build/deploy pipelines for custom integrations, scripts, and connectors. Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical business stakeholders and end users. Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for supported applications.

Proficient in Microsoft 365 products (Teams, Outlook, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint) appropriate to the responsibilities of the role. Supplemental Information The workweek may fluctuate depending on workload or agency needs. Overnight travel may be required based on business needs.
