What You Will Do:
This High-Performance Computing (HPC) senior principal candidate will provide Raytheon Digital Technology High Performance Computing Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. This candidate will understand Windows Server internals, hardware troubleshooting and knowledge of Linux administration.
This position is a hybrid role in our Andover, MA, Tewksbury, MA, or Woburn, MA locations. Travel to other Domestic US Locations will be required (Occasional) Relocation support will be provided to the selected applicant if they meet company policy eligibility requirements. The person will be the primary HPC SME for the Northeast locations for Raytheon and will need to work independently and provide direct HPC expertise for the various program areas where they have HPC systems.
What You Will Learn:
Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
Help develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices.
Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration, maintenance and troubleshooting of High-Performance Computing hardware, software, and operating systems (OS).
Understanding software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, and system-level troubleshooting, to lead and support the engineering community.
Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high performance computing systems. Work across DT functions to standardize processes and procedures.
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
Provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members.
Must be able to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience
Must be able to obtain a (DoD) secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience in Windows and Linux Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening
Experience maintaining a medium sized Microsoft Windows Server environment
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with High Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools as well as hardware troubleshooting
High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
Experience in Project Leadership, Management, or Project management in a DT domain Basic to advance scripting experience.
An active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
Advanced hands-on experience with Windows and Linux security hardening, systems integration, advanced troubleshooting, and authentication service integration.
Red Hat Certified System Administrator or Red Hat Certified Engineer
Knowledge of file system architecture
Cloud certified to include experience with HPC Cloud management
Experience with Ansible and automation
IPMI, iLO, and/or iDRAC Administration
Advanced knowledge of High-Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM, Ganglia, Promethius and Grafana

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
