Summary
As a Sr. Batch Developer (UNIX/C/SQL) at Gainwell, you will be a part of an innovative healthcare technology company with a mission to serve the healthcare needs of our communities. You will use your programming and analytical skills to drive the development of healthcare administration products used, and relied upon, by millions of patients. Your role in our mission
Take a close look at some of the details that contribute to Gainwell's industry-leading tools and technologies in this challenging position.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions to build Requirement Specification and Design Documents that support the business needs.
Prepare time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks.
Code, test, debug, implement and document moderately-complex to complex technical programs.
Participate in and conducts peer reviews as needed.Evaluate existing systems and programs to recommend potential enhancements.
Liaise with clients and management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements, and identify/address issues that may arise.
Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced developers.
What we're looking for
6+ years of experience working on application development projects.
  • 4+ years with C programming experience and proficient in Pro*C.
  • 4+ years working with Unix or Linux environment.
  • 4+ years working with relational databases.
  • Expertise in batch development, job automation, and notification services.
  • Experience in writing specifications and design documentation, including the use of UML diagrams.
  • Healthcare/Medicaid work experience is preferred
