Leveraging AI-powered intelligence, Delinea’s leading cloud-native Identity Security Platform applies context throughout the entire identity lifecycle – across cloud and traditional infrastructure, data, SaaS applications, and AI. Learn more about Delinea on Delinea.com, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.

Join our passionate, global team at Delinea and help us make the world a safer and more secure place. Our success is driven by world-class product leadership, outstanding engineers, and strategic investment from TPG. We value diversity, innovation, and a culture of respect and fairness. If you're ready to push boundaries and challenge the status quo in security, we want to hear from you.

Position Summary

Delinea is looking for a Principal UX Designer to join our established User Experience team. In this role, you’ll be the exemplar of craft and collaboration that other designers seek out and learn from — guiding design for a significant product area within our identity security platform and navigating complex projects that cross team and organizational lines. You’ll partner with product, engineering, and design leadership to shape not just individual features, but how our broader design practice operates. You’ll get there through a mix of hands‑on craft, collaborative facilitation with the teams you partner with, and active mentorship of the designers who look to you for guidance.

This role is right for a designer who has already proven they can own end‑to‑end design with little oversight, and is ready to extend that impact beyond their own feature area — setting direction for other designers, raising the bar on craft across the team, and starting to shape outcomes for Delinea’s broader design and product organization.

We’re flexible on location for the right candidate: this role is based in the Seattle area with a hybrid rhythm preferred, though we’ll consider fully remote candidates who bring the right depth of experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead design projects from concept to delivery, from early strategy through complex interaction models, workflows, and polished prototypes.
  • Set a bar for craft and collaboration that other designers and writers seek out and learn from.
  • Partner with and facilitate design reviews with product and engineering leadership, making sure ambitious designs are scoped, feasible, and executed accurately.
  • Regularly mentor junior designers, providing feedback on craft, process, and design best practices.
  • Bring emerging design trends and practices into Delinea’s product design, evaluating what’s worth adopting versus what’s just noise.
  • Contribute to and help evolve the Delinea Design System, and champion consistent, scalable design across the product portfolio.
  • Influence design practice and standards for the broader design and product organization, beyond your immediate product area.
We’d Love to See
  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer, with a track record of owning complex product areas end-to-end.
  • A portfolio demonstrating design skill and leadership on complex, cross-functional, or ambiguous problems.
  • Deep expertise in interaction design and user experience principles, with the judgment to know when to go deep versus move fast.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills — comfortable navigating projects that span multiple teams and stakeholders and driving design projects forward.
  • High proficiency with Figma and modern design/prototyping tools, plus hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted tools in your design workflow (e.g., prototyping, research synthesis, or design‑to‑code handoff).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design thinking to senior and executive stakeholders.
Bonus if You Have
  • Background in cybersecurity, identity governance, or privileged access management is strongly preferred, though not required.
  • Experience partnering with dedicated UX researchers on complex, multi‑phase research programs.
  • Well‑versed in data visualization, with experience designing dashboards or visualizations for complex, data‑dense products.
  • Familiarity with responsive, cross‑platform design across web, admin, and mobile surfaces.
Why work at Delinea?
  • We're passionate problem‑solvers helping the world's largest organizations protect what matters most: their human and machine identities.
  • We invest in people who are smart, self‑motivated, and collaborative.
  • What we offer in return is meaningful work, a culture of innovation and great career progression.
At Delinea, our core values are STRONG and guide our behaviors and success:
  • Spirited - We bring energy and passion to everything we do
  • Trust - We act with integrity and deliver on our commitments
  • Respect - We listen, value different perspectives, and work as one team
  • Ownership - We take initiative and follow through
  • Nimble - We adapt quickly in a fast‑changing environment
  • Global - We embrace diverse people and ideas to drive better outcomes

We believe weaving these core values into our day‑to‑day actions, and our process for hiring, evaluating, and promoting employees, helps us cultivate a work environment that embraces collaboration and camaraderie.

We take care of our employees. We offer competitive salaries, a meaningful bonus program, and excellent benefits, including healthcare insurance, as well as pension/retirement matching, comprehensive life insurance, an employee assistance program, time off plans, and paid company holidays.

Delinea is an Equal Opportunity and Affi nitive Action employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type with regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.

Upon conditional offer of employment, candidates are required to complete comprehensive criminal background check, verification of education, and verification of employment, per employment policy. In addition, all publicly posted social media sites may be reviewed.
