Description
Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft, automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits' sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive web site.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Supply Planning Manager, and/or a Supply Planner, the Junior Supply Planner will be responsible for the planning of identified material categories to support continuous production flow, identifying risks in supply, and working collaboratively with other departments to resolve supply challenges to support on-time delivery to our customers, while maintaining targeted inventory stocking levels. The Junior Supply Planner will collaborate across departments to expedite and ensure timely stock replenishment and to meet delivery performance objectives.
Salary Range: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Job Function:
  • Plans parts and assemblies through various production operations to ensure on-time delivery
  • Follows inventory guidelines to determine appropriate inventory of items at the finished goods, work in progress (WIP), and item levels
  • Appropriately actions MRP signals generated by the master schedule, sales orders, and forecasts
  • Works with the Supply Planning Manager to develop risk mitigation and contingency planning strategies
  • Promptly notifies relevant stakeholders of any issues and/or overdue materials that may jeopardize on-time deliveries to customers
  • Tracks material shortages and prepares/distributes material shortage reports
  • Initiates continuous and effective communication across all necessary departments to understand demands, trends, and challenges
  • Works with the production and logistics teams to ensure that stock is dispatched and delivered according to agreed-upon service levels
  • Plan and coordinate continuous materials workflow within the company's global manufacturing locations to ensure all required parts are delivered on-time to meet customer delivery dates
  • Work with manufacturing locations to properly prioritize production plans
  • Resolve potential shortage situations by proactively managing inventory levels at warehouses
  • Coordinates with company global manufacturing locations to eliminate kit shortages and other issues which may arise
  • Coordinate with kit room to resolve any discrepancies
  • Work with manufacturing locations to determine floor stock/bulk materials needed in preparation for shipment.
  • Ensure that list of all required raw materials, shipping documentation, and electronic drawings are provided to company manufacturing locations in order to support manufacturing runs
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Control to prepare all the required sub-assemblies to dispatch to manufacturing locations on time and as per schedule
  • Perform other duties as necessary and as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials Management or Supply Chain Management strongly preferred
  • High school diploma, GED or international equivalent required, plus relevant experience equivalent in absence of a 4-year degree
  • One to two years prior professional work experience in production, materials management, supplier management, or a supply-chain or operations related field
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills are a must
  • Proficient in mathematics
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with proficiency in MS Office and related Suite programs
  • Experience in an MRP environment strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, & written communication skills
  • Accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail are required
  • Team player, cooperative, fast-learner
  • Strong multitasking skills, proactive self-starter, and problem solver
  • Organized and focused
