Senior Electrical Designer
Position Summary:
We are seeking a **Senior Electrical Designer** to support the design of advanced manufacturing facilities, including semiconductor manufacturing plants, data centers, and other high-tech industrial projects. This role is responsible for developing detailed electrical designs and construction documents using **AutoCAD** and **Revit MEP**, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems. The Senior Electrical Designer will collaborate closely with engineers, design leads, and multidisciplinary teams while providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare electrical designs and construction documents for advanced manufacturing and industrial facilities.
* Develop layouts, sketches, 2D drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
* Design electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems.
* Produce and maintain accurate electronic drawing and documentation packages.
* Coordinate design deliverables with engineers, design leads, and other project disciplines.
* Deliver complex design packages while meeting project scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
* Assist with developing staffing plans based on project schedules and deliverables.
* Become familiar with project scope, client requirements, budgets, and schedules for assigned work.
* Mentor junior designers and drafters by providing technical guidance and support.
* Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical design utilizing 3D modeling and drafting.
* Proficiency with AutoCAD.
* At least 1 year of Revit MEP design experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical design requirements.
* Associate degree in a related technical field.
* 3+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
* Experience designing electrical systems for advanced manufacturing facilities, data centers, or similar industrial environments.
