Quality Systems & Documentation
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures, and acceptance criteria
• Own and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and change control processes
• Analyze defect data and production metrics to identify trends and drive systemic corrective actions
• Maintain quality records in compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements


Corrective & Preventive Action
• Lead root cause analysis on production and supplier quality escapes
• Drive closure of corrective actions and verify effectiveness through follow-up audits and data review
• Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone)


Incoming & Supplier Quality
• Manage incoming inspection processes and disposition of non-conforming materials
• Monitor and communicate supplier quality performance metrics; escalate and resolve recurring issues
• Support supplier qualification and onboarding from a quality standpoint


In-Process & Final Inspection
• Define and maintain in-process inspection checkpoints and sampling plans aligned to production flow
• Support first article inspection (FAI) and process validation for new products and process changes
• Interface with manufacturing engineering on process changes and assess quality impact before implementation


Continuous Improvement
• Identify and lead quality improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma principles
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to reduce defect rates and cost of poor quality
• Champion a quality-first culture on the production floor through training, visibility, and accountability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
• Experience with SPC, MSA, or Gage R&R studies 
• Background in panelized construction, modular housing, or high-mix production environments 
• Familiarity with ERP or MES systems for quality data capture and traceability 
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification 
• Prior experience in a startup or high-growth manufacturing environment 
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor junior quality staff (for senior-level candidates)

  • Must be able to sit at a desk for several hours at a time and operate basic office equipment.
  • Must be able to move freely and travel to various stations carrying tools and materials.
  • Must be able to identify & organize tools and materials.
  • Must be able to constantly move and lift tools & materials up to 50 pounds.
  • May require bending and reaching in areas from floor level to six feet high.
  • Must be able to climb and work off ladders daily.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, 8-10 hrs daily.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters or symbols and eye/hand coordination.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where the noise level is usually moderate to high.   
  • Work may require some weekend and evening work. No travel is expected. No remote work is available currently.
