To thrive as a Junior Quant, you need a strong background in mathematics, statistics, programming (often Python, C++, or R), and typically a degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, computer science, or engineering. Familiarity with financial modeling tools, statistical analysis software, and version control systems like Git is often required.
