Job Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: 24 + Months
Job Description:
  • Multiple openings. Design, develop, and implement automation testing frameworks to support backend APIs, web services, and mobile applications based on requirements.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements. Identify and document requirements using SharePoint and JIRA.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements.
  • Work with functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Work with Java, REST Assured, TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), Appium, Selenium WebDriver, Android and iOS platforms, Git, JIRA, SharePoint, API Automation, UI Automation and CI/CD implementation.
  • Maintain versions of the source code. Develop API testing framework using REST Assured with TestNG framework using Behavior Driven Development (BDD) approach to test REST and gRPC webservices.
  • Design and implement mobile test automation scripts for Android and iOS applications using Appium with TestNG and Java.
  • Review ongoing progress in daily scrum meetings and use Agile Methodology.
  • Implement the automation testing framework across the existing web services to be tested. Analyze REST and gRPC-based API features by reviewing user stories.
  • Develop and implement automation test scripts for service endpoints using REST Assured with Cucumber BDD framework.
  • Implement UI automation for web applications using Selenium WebDriver, Page Object Model (POM), TestNG/Cucumber. Develop and maintain test plan and test cases for unit, integration, functional, regression test scenarios for both automated and manual testing.
  • Execute test plan, test cases and report test results in central software management tool.
  • Work with Java, Rest Assured, Seetest, TestNG, Appium, Postgres, MongoDB, SQL, HP Quality Center/ALM, Appium, Soap UI. 40 hrs/wk.
Requirements:
  • Must have Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics & Communications Engineering, or related field (Will accept a Bachelor''s degree plus 5 years progressive post baccalaureate experience in lieu of Master''s).
  • Must have 2 years experience (or 2 years experience as QA Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Must have 2 years experience designing, developing, and implementing automation testing frameworks to support backend APIs, web services, and mobile applications; Working with functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Analyzing business and technical requirements; Working with Java, REST Assured, TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), Appium, Selenium WebDriver, Android and iOS platforms, Git, JIRA, SharePoint, API Automation, UI Automation and CI/CD implementation.
  • Must be willing to travel (10-15%) within the US to unanticipated locations on short notice for extended periods of time.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
  • Salary: $143,832/year.
