TouchTunes is on the lookout for a QA Analyst with a strong understanding of software quality principles. As a member of the Quality Assurance (QA) Department, you will be closely collaborating with the engineering teams to both create, manage, and perform functional and non-functional tests and validation on a multitude of projects tied to our Mobile App to ensure the success of our software releases.
As a critical member of the Quality Assurance (QA) team, the Analyst will work in collaboration to strategize, create, and execute QA test plans. With the exposure you will have to our multiple environments and development teams, you will also act as a subject matter expert within the QA collective regarding the different platforms and systems you engage with.
What your day-to-day looks like:
  • Active participation in test planning, defining and improving test strategies related to various software and hardware functionalities within a multidisciplinary team
  • Test client products rigorously using a variety of methods to expose customer-impacting defects.
  • Develop and execute tests for the different products you will work on
  • Maintain test environment to ensure accuracy and reproducibility
  • Report results and provide recommendations to the Team Lead
  • Maintain and improve product quality by investigating field escalations
  • Implement new tools, strategies and methods to continually optimize the testing process
  • Participate in product release steps, including planning and arranging releases, and internal training
What you bring to the table:
  • Strong experience with industry standard QA tools, such as JIRA, Postman, Web debugging tools such as Charles, Wireshark or Fiddler, test management tools, and others.
  • 3+ years' experience working with Mobile applications, with strong understanding of Mobile Platforms, and Compatibility to ensure the success of our software releases.
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate, isolate, and troubleshoot complex issues and determine optimal testing strategy
  • Experience managing software / hardware tests.
  • Multi-disciplined on software, such as Mobile (iOS and Android) apps, web-based tools, embedded systems and gateways.
  • Exposure to environments running large-scale applications and back-end systems.
  • Experience with Backend/server-side testing - API/Webservices testing knowledge, JSON or XML, a strong plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, XCode, Sourcetree, a strong plus.
  • Strong exposure to integrated systems testing.
  • Familiarity with databases and MySQL.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix OS and electronic systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems quickly and creatively.
  • Out of the box thinking, ability to test applications with thorough test coverage
  • Have a strong technical background and ability to learn complex products and testing methodologies quickly as well as strong and detail-oriented troubleshooting skills.
